This is just… what?
Australia was involved in a heated debate recently over whether same-sex couples should be allowed to marry.
Then, last week, the majority of people in Australia voted to legalise same-sex marriage in the country.
Bob Katter is an Australian politician who represents a rural electorate in Queensland and in the aftermath of the referendum, he was speaking about the historic vote.
“I mean, y’know, people are entitled to their sexual proclivities. Let there be a thousand blossoms bloom, as far as I’m concerned,” he said in a jovial tone.
But just take a look at the video below to see what happens next…
In case you missed it, here's Bob Katter's alternative view on the #samesexmarriage debate. Thanks for watching. #Insiders #auspol pic.twitter.com/iObsR1tDs1

We’re not quite sure we’ve seen a segue quite like that in any speech, as Katter’s whole demeanour changed in an instant and he became unrecognisable from the man who was speaking mere seconds earlier.
“But I ain’t spendin’ any time on it, because in the meantime, every three months, a person is torn to pieces by a crocodile in North Queensland,” he thundered.
Definitely not where we, or anybody else for that matter, were expecting that conversation to go…
