BBC journalist Pádraig Belton shared an interesting map on Twitter that serves as a graphic representation of what all of Europe’s leaders took their first degree in, law being by far the most common starter course for those who end up in power.
French president Emmanuel Macron is an unusual one, being one of only two leaders to have studied philosophy at undergraduate level (the other being Georgian president Giorgi Margvelashvili).
Prime Minister Theresa May also stands alone with a degree in geography, as does Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern, who studied journalism.

Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven has no degree at all, having begun his working life in the army before becoming a welder and a trade unionist.
