This is nasty
Beto O’Rourke made headlines a number of weeks ago for his incredible answer to a question regarding Colin Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the national anthem, in protest of police brutality.
If you haven’t seen it, take a look here. It’s quite powerful.

O’Rourke has been gaining a lot of attention, to the point that the man he is running against for Senator, Ted Cruz, has gone out of his way to address him at a recent rally in Texas.
According to DallasNews, Cruz and his followers were chanting “Send him back to Ireland”, at one point during the rally.

O’Rourke is a fourth generation Irishman, so we feel that “sending him back to Ireland”, would probably be a little bit harsh.
Ted Cruz himself, full name Rafael Edward Cruz, is a descendant of immigrants. At one event in 2015, he even went as far as to say: “I’m Cuban, Irish, and Italian, and yet somehow I ended up Southern Baptist.”
Maybe he forgot…
Cruz is currently serving as the Senator from Texas, a position which O’Rourke is eager to take from him.
Recently, Cruz criticised O’Rourke for swearing while answering questions at a conference.
He took to Twitter to call him out for his heinous crime…
A lighthearted reminder: A #LaborDay picnic is a great place to bring the kids. A Beto O’Rourke rally? Not so much… #TXSen
