“You chose books, I chose looks” is still the sickest burn ever delivered in a children’s movie
Matilda (the book) was released thirty years ago today, although it’s a Monday, which means it’s probably going to have a quiet one tonight and then go hard on the celebrations with the girls this weekend.
The movie came into our lives many years later (I cannot say precisely how many because that’s one of the quiz questions) and brought with it a swell time for all lucky enough to get to see it.
