You might, might, just have noticed the heatwave that recently consumed these typically sodden isles over the last few weeks, one that culminated in a bone-meltingly ridiculous 38C day on July 25.
Britain, of course, responded in the only way it knows how: by swarming into pub gardens up and down the country for a drink. Which was great, obviously. The only problem being there was simply too many of us jostling for position at the bar or attempting to pounce on tables as soon as people kinda sorta maybe looked like they were leaving.
Tired of seeing disappointed Brits huddled in packed out beer gardens, or even settling for lukewarm drinks in their own homes, one whisky brand is now giving fans the chance to win their own cocktail vending machine, complete with barman, to enjoy in the comfort of their own garden.
And would you just look at it, the absolute unit.
The Woodsman Whisky has pledged to take the world’s very first Old Fashioned Vending Machine direct to the thirsty masses on the road this summer, starting with London this Saturday, August 3.
The one-of-a-kind machine, which serves Maple Syrup Old Fashioned cocktails simply by pulling levers and turning a wheel, will be popping up in gardens near you throughout August, delivering drinks and giving whisky lovers the chance to pour their own perfect serve in a truly innovative way.
To be in with a chance of hosting the glorious contraption yourself, perfect for a late-summer soiree, all you need to do is follow The Woodsman Whisky on Instagram and Facebook – @WoodsmanWhisky – and tag three friends you’d like to invite round to enjoy a cocktail in the sun.
London entries for this Saturday need to be submitted by Friday at 12pm, whilst further dates and locations will be announced on the social channels across the coming month.
