The Premier League is a better place for having them in it
Since the inception of the Premier League, England’s top flight has been a fruitful ground for South American strikers. Whether it’s been Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero or Afonso Alves, forwards from the continent have played in England to differing levels of success.
One such player was Radamel Falcao, the Colombian striker who togged out for Manchester United and Chelsea before returning to his current club, AS Monaco.
The 32-year-old featured in the most recent episode of Jack Whitehall: Training Days, as he met the comedian in Monte Carlo. The two discussed many things, including football and fragrances, and their chat got us thinking about some other South American players who have moved to England and how much we think we know about them.
