Maddison held up the t-shirt after scoring Leicester’s fourth
James Maddison scored the fourth goal for Leicester City in their 5-2 demolition of Manchester City on Sunday evening, and marked it by paying tribute to Leicester City doctor Stuart Birtwistle, who passed away during the summer after a long battle with cancer.
Maddison scored a stunning curling strike over the head of the home side’s goalkeeper Ederson, before unfurling a t-shirt featuring a photograph of Mr. Birtwistle standing with the Premier League trophy.

The defeat against Brendan Rodgers’ side marked the first occasion in his managerial career that a Pep Guardiola team has conceded five goals in a match.
Despite taking the lead early through Riyad Mahrez, Guardiola’s side struggled with basic errors, three of which led directly to penalties when City’s defenders had allowed their opponent to get on the wrong side.
Jamie Vardy scored the first three goals of the game, before Maddison and another penalty, this time put away by Youri Tielemans, capped things off.
