A one man ‘Wenger Out’ protest was seen during MLS game on Sunday

Yes, really...

As we’re all more than well aware by now, there’s a good number of Arsenal supporters that would like to see Arsene Wenger leave the club at the end of this season.

Any title hopes are all but mathematically over, while their Champions League campaign has yet again been ended before the quarter finals. There’s even a very real chance that this might be the first time in a very long time that Arsenal finish outside the top four, something which would mean they won’t have the luxury of failing miserably to progress beyond the last 16 stage of the continent’s premier cup competition next season.

In response to this, the Wenger Out campaign is picking up speed. Ahead of their second leg with Bayern Munich last week, disgruntled supporters held aloft banners featuring messages urging the club’s owners not to offer a new contract to their manager.

As it turns out, it’s not just Arsenal supporters in this country that are taking the time to make anti-Wenger banners…

Those that tuned in for the snow-covered MLS fixture between Minnesota and Atlanta on Sunday evening might have noticed that the ill-feeling towards Arsenal’s long-serving boss has indeed spread to the US.

One man held aloft a ‘Wenger Out’ banner in a gloved hand as he watched Minnesota receive a 6-1 hammering at the hands of Atlanta United.

Bizarre.
