Aaron Ramsey’s dream XI is definitely one of the more spectacular ones

What a front three

There are many different approaches to picking an all-time dream XI.

You can curry favour with teammates by picking them just to avoid awkward encounters in training the next day.

You can go the hipster route and pick players who others haven’t heard of because they’re not as worldly as yourself. Or you can just pick the best damn eleven imaginable.

Aaron Ramsey’s dream team might not be the greatest of all time but it’s pretty darn close to being unbeatable.

The Arsenal midfielder only picked one current teammate, which is less admirable than it is understandable, while Gunners legend Thierry Henry was given the shout to start up front alongside the two best players in the world right now in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ramsey opted for a three-man midfield but, with the players’ prowess, it will seem like five men in the centre of the park as Zinedine Zidane, Steven Gerrard and Andres Iniesta all get the nod.

The Welshman’s back four is rock solid as full backs Philipp Lahm and Roberto Carlos flank the centre-back partnership of Rio Ferdinand and Fabio Cannavaro.

The only current Arsenal player to make the cut is between the sticks and that’s Petr Cech, and you can’t really blame Ramsey for picking him given Cech’s impact at the Emirates this season.
