Former footballer Adam Johnson has approached Katie Price for advice on how to revive his public image following his release from prison for child sex offences, according to a Telegraph exclusive.
Johnson was released from prison last Friday after serving half of his six year sentence which he was handed in February 2016 after he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual activity with a child and one count of grooming.
Now, as the 31-year-old attempts to revive his career and recover his public image, he and his family have sought the help of former glamour model Katie Price.
Price has reportedly been a close friend of Johnson’s sister Faye for a long time and is now understood to be helping the family in the quest to boost Johnson’s reputation, giving advice on the best locations to be publicly photographed among other things.
The Telegraph report that Johnson is considering delving into the world of reality TV.
A representative of Price said the only connection between her and the Johnson family is that they have known each other for years, and she is friends with the Johnson’s mother and sister as they all own horses.
Johnson has returned to his mansion in Durham but his release conditions state that he is no longer allowed to spend time alone with his daughter.
The Football Association said “appropriate safeguarding restrictions have been put in place” regarding Johnson.
