The Frenchman has captained the Gunners in recent weeks
Alexandre Lacazette showed his class by contacting the mother of an Arsenal supporter who has been the victim of “relentless” bullying.
The Gunners striker – who is out of contract in the summer – has scored 70 goals in 192 appearances since moving to the Emirates in 2017.
The 30-year-old has captained Arsenal in recent weeks after the now-departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was stripped of the armband in December following a number of disciplinary breaches.
Lacazette has demonstrated his leadership ability on the field with Mikel Arteta’s side enjoying a good run of form, and the Frenchman has now shown his class off the field – getting in touch with a Gunners fan who has suffered at the hands of bullies.
On Twitter, he replied to a mother whose son has been subject to “relentless digs about his height” and bullied by other children.
The former Lyon man wrote that he was “really sorry” to hear about the youngster’s situation and reached out to offer them an invitation to an upcoming game.
He also said, “Bullies will never win,” as he urged the mother to check her messages for information on how to take him up on his offer.
Hi Fran, really sorry to hear about your son’s situation. Id love to invite you both to a game. Bullies will never win. Please check your dm ♣️❤️

In response to Lacazette, she said she had “no words” after receiving a “lovely” message.

It is unclear which game Lacazette will take the youngster to, with Arteta’s man retuning to action when they travel to Wolves in the Premier League on Thursday.
Arsenal have not played since they were held to a goalless draw at home to Burnley on January 23, but they can go above both Manchester United and West Ham into the Champions League spots if they win their games in hand.
