His performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb might not have suggested it, but Alexis Sanchez has a hamstring problem.
The Chilean played the full 90 minutes and scored a couple of goals in the comfortable win, but it now appears that the former Barcelona man has been suffering with the problem in recent days.
Despite this, Arsene Wenger hinted that it wouldn’t be enough to keep Sanchez out of his side’s trip to Norwich.
“It might not be the right time to rest him,” Wenger said, claiming that Arsenal could also be boosted by the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the trip to Carrow Road.
“Oxlade-Chambelain could be available. He has another big hurdle to get across today and hopefully he can be successful.”
Having lost at West Brom in their last Premier League outing, Arsenal will be hoping that victory at Carrow Road will put them on track in their push for their first title since 2004.
