Surely Alexis Sanchez could have waited a couple of days before tweeting about his new fashion range.
Manchester United supporters were still coming to terms with their side’s unexpected 3-2 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon when Sanchez took to Twitter to offer an ill-timed update on his side project.
On Monday, Sanchez posted a couple of tweets which showed off some designs from his fashion collection, Alexis by JJO.
One tweet featured several photographs of the United forward modelling some outfits while another, a video, was even less well-received.
The Chilean was inundated with cries to delete the posts and he soon acquiesced, removing both.

If he wants to avoid another backlash, perhaps Sanchez should wait for a more opportune time to promote his clothing than the day after an embarrassing defeat, when some fans appear to be turning on the manager.
The 29-year-old was missing for Sunday’s game due to injury and could well be out for United’s clash with Spurs next Monday too.
“I don’t know really [the extent of Sanchez’s injury],” Mourinho said. “Let’s wait for the results of the studies.
“But I don’t think it’s a big thing. I think it will be one or two weeks maximum.”
