Chicharito would be proud of this technique
You’ve probably heard a lot about Amad Diallo, the 18-year-old who signed for Manchester United in the summer and joined up the with the squad this January.
His highlights playing for United’s under-23s have been plastered all over the club’s social media channels, and the hype has built up at a terrifying rate.
The young forward justified that hype within minutes of coming on against AC Milan in the first leg of United’s Europa League tie on Thursday night, scoring a stunning header somehow reminiscent of both Javier Hernandez vs Stoke and Robin van Persie against Spain.
Diallo made a darting run from the right wing in behind the Milan defence and was picked out with an inch-perfect floated pass from Bruno Fernandes, but still had it all to do.
Without the time of space to take it down on his chest, Diallo improvised with a skilful backwards header that looped over Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The pass from Fernandes, the awareness and quality of the finish from Amad 🔥

This is just Diallo’s third appearance for United; the previous two coming off the bench against Real Sociedad in the previous knock-out round.
Having come on for Anthony Martial and made an immediate impact, he will have done no harm to his chance of getting more minutes in the Premier League with an impressive second half performance against Milan.
His goal was not enough to secure Manchester United the advantage going into the second leg, though, as Simon Kjaer scored an equaliser and important away goal in injury time.
United have a big task ahead of them at the San Siro, but for now, enjoy Diallo’s goal.
