It’s his first time in the ring for more than two years
Amir Khan has destroyed (32-4, 20 KOs) his opponent Phil Lo Greco (28-4, 15 KOs) in less than a minute.
Fighting for the first time since his loss to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Khan put away Lo Greco easily with a knockdown in the first 15 seconds, before finishing his man off inside 40.
Talk about a comeback.
The clinical finish of the 150-pound catchweight bout can be viewed as somewhat a statement of intent.
As Kell Brook watched on from the crowd, in Liverpool’s Echo Arena, Khan said: “I want to say a big thank you to Liverpool. I mean, I’ve been out the ring for two years.
“I’ve never taken a day off from the gym. I wanted to prove a point. The change of trainer…I had to make some changes.
“Phil Lo Greco is a dangerous opponent. I just want to say – we had that little bit of argument but I put that behind me. I came here to do a job, do a clinical job and box well.
“I want to thank all the fans for turning out and enjoying my victory. Khan’s back.”
