In a week where Paul Scholes has said that he wouldn’t enjoy playing in Louis van Gaal’s side, one of Manchester United’s current players has offered his opinion on the manager.
Ander Herrera has been one of United’s better performers in the Van Gaal era, leaving many of the club’s supporters bemused at how frequently he finds himself on the bench.
Rested for the League Cup defeat to Middlesbrough, it seems Herrera is now back in favour with his manager, holding down a place after an impressive return against Everton earlier in October.
With Van Gaal’s reputation for possessing a sometimes overly strict attitude with his players, the Spaniard has told radio station Onda Cero that he’s not quite as bad as it’s sometimes made out.

But then again, he’s hardly going to come out and criticise him, is he?
