Ander Herrera’s lung-busting running and all round dynamism has endeared him to many Manchester United supporters since the Spaniard made the move to Old Trafford from Athletic Bilbao before the start of last season.
Having lived in the Northwest for nearly 18Â months, it seems that Herrera is well-adjusted to his new home and, despite not always being guaranteed a start by Louis van Gaal, appears to be enjoying his football.
The significance of United’s rivalry with Liverpool hasn’t been lost on him either, as he recently remarked in an interview with Sky Sports News that the game against them was bigger than the Manchester derby.
Herrera has now told Spanish radio station Onda Cero that he has sympathy for his fellow Spaniards that live in Liverpool, as he finds it difficult to understand their accent.

A. Herrera (to Onda): "I feel for the Spanish in L'pool because I don't really understand their English. I understand the one in Manchester"
