What a goal.
Angel di Maria opened the scoring in tonight’s Champions League tie between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona with a brilliant free-kick.
The Argentine winger, on his 29th birthday, found the back of the net from around 20 yards after 18 minutes.
He rarely did this during his one season with Manchester United. In fairness, he rarely did anything other than look miserable.
What a free-kick! Up and over to perfection from Di Maria.👏 #UCL #PSGFCB https://t.co/f9JDC29282

A great goal, but one which some on social media found fault with.
Many pointed to Luis Suarez’s role in the free-kick.
The Barcelona forward was part of a wall with Gerard Pique, Andre Gomes and Sergio Busquets. However, Suarez ducked, in an attempt to head the ball, and the Di Maria’s shot flew past him and into the net.
Here it is from another angle:
It seems harsh to pick on Suarez. After all, the Uruguayan doesn’t give the impression he’d be afraid of being hit in the face with a football, and it was a nice strike from Di Maria.
But some blamed Suarez for ducking.
Suarez, you can't duck and jump at the same time 😂

Good free kick from Angel di Maria although Barcelona wall should have blocked it. Luis Suarez seemed to jump and duck. #PSGFCB

Suarez may as well have stepped out of the wall if he was gonna duck like that. Coward.

If Suarez didn't duck the ball would have hit his face. I think I would have preferred the latter instead of a goal #UCL #PSGFCB #SSFootball
