The world champion was in laid-back form but still managed to land some blows.
Anthony Joshua is heading in for a summer training camp as he prepares for the first defence of the titles he has accrued over the past year.
He is hoping for Wladimir Klitschko to put his name to a return bout for later this year but insists he is patient about whether or not that fight ever happens. He told Sky Sports:
“Klitschko has to look at what he wants to do next and what he wants to achieve. Does he want to go through that sort of fight again? I certainly do.”
With the Ukrainian considering his next move, Joshua was queried about a possible fight with Tyson Fury, who gave up his belts over claims of inactivity and a doping failure.
Despite Fury claiming to be getting back in shape himself [see post below], Joshua was not having it. In fact, he was so happy with his first remark about Fury’s weight that he made it again.

Asked about Fury ‘lacing up his boots again’, Joshua responded:
“I don’t know if Tyson is able to lace his own boots right now.
“When Tyson is fit and ready, we’ll be ready.”
Joshua went on to say he feels no need to fight and defeat Fury to prove that he is the true champion but added that he would have no problem stepping into the ring with him if that was the fight the public wanted.
“He’s one of my rivals. I need this sort of competition.
“I’ll see if we can lace his boots [for him] and then we’ll come to blows.”
As is often the case, we will wait for Fury’s entertaining reply.
