Anthony Joshua v Charles Martin – what time is the fight and where can you watch it?

Tom Victor

Anthony Joshua faces the biggest test of his professional boxing career on Saturday as he takes on Charles Martin at the O2 Arena.

The Watford fighter has a 15-0-0 record to defend, but St Louis southpaw Martin is also unbeaten in a 24-fight career.

It promises to be an intriguing fight, with Friday’s weigh-in only adding to the interest, and here’s all you need to know about how and where to watch the evening’s events unfold.

The undercard features plenty to look forward to, including several title fights and a first professional outing for Nigel Benn’s teenage son Conor.

George Groves, fresh from making light work of Andrea de Luisa, takes on David Brophy for the vacant WBA international super middleweight title.

And further down the bill, Lee Selby will defend his IBF world featherweight belt against Eric Hunter, while WBA world bantamweight title holder  Jamie McDonnell takes on Mexico’s Fernando Vargas.

With eight bouts in total, the undercard will get underway at 5:30pm, with Joshua and Martin expected to enter the ring around 10.45pm.

The fight is unfortunately not being broadcast on free-to-air television, but fans can make sure they don’t miss a moment by paying £16.95 to watch on Sky Box Office.

Joshua made an estimated £3m from pay-per-view sales from his seventh-round victory over Dillian Whyte last year, and both fighters are sure to make comfortably more than the £250k purse which went the way of Martin following his victory over Vyacheslav Glazkov in New York in January.

The Brit is the odds-on favourite, with a best price of 2/9 at the time of writing, but 7/2 outsider Martin will want to show he’s not just there to make up the numbers.
