Anthony Martial says that he laughs when Louis van Gaal yells at him in training because he believes it will help him improve as a player.
The Frenchman has been one of Manchester United few bright sparks this season since joining from Monaco during the summer.
The 20-year-old has scored seven goals in 24 league appearances since arriving at Old Trafford on deadline day, citing the influence of Van Gaal as one of the main reasons behind his early United success.
Speaking to RTL, the striker opened up about his relationship with the Dutchman:
“He [Van Gaal] yells at me,” he said. “It makes me laugh because I know it’s for my own good.
“He was very hard with me, that’s what I needed.”
