Arsenal and Man United fight to sign “new Cristiano Ronaldo”

Kevin Beirne

Arsenal and Manchester United are set to battle it out for the signature of Portuguese youngster Goncalo Guedes.

The 18-year-old currently plays for Benfica and has been dubbed “the next Cristiano Ronaldo” because of his skillful play and eye for goal.

The main stumbling block to any move would be the youngster’s price tag, with The Telegraph reporting that the winger would cost somewhere in the region of £40m.

That may be enough to deter Arsene Wenger from doing a deal, but Louis van Gaal may still make a move as cross-town rivals Manchester City are also thought to be interested.

Until then, you can scout Guedes for your own team by the tried and trusted method of watching highlights put together by a fan, set to terrible dance music.
