Those wounds look nice and fresh, perhaps they could do with a bit of salt.
The start to the season hasn’t been easy on the hearts of Arsenal supporters, who had to put up with a dramatic back-and-forth encounter with Leicester on the opening day before a defeat to Stoke this weekend.
The Potters’ Jese Rodriguez scored the game’s only goal on Saturday and despite the Gunners’ best efforts, they simply couldn’t get on the scoresheet.
Mesut Ozil came in for criticism from the likes of Steven Gerrard and Martin Keown while manager Arsene Wenger was forced to defend his German midfielder in his post-match press conference.

And while it was a woeful occasion for Arsenal supporters, Stoke fans thoroughly enjoyed their first three points of the new campaign.
Perhaps the only thing that they enjoyed more than the result itself is the banter on display on Stoke Police’s Twitter account since the final whistle blew at the Britannia.
As Arsenal fans got in touch to jokingly report a robbery, after an Alexandre Lacazette goal was wrongly disallowed for offside, @PolicingStoke held nothing back with their replies.
Some Arsenal fans took umbrage with the clearly light-hearted responses but, as was to be expected, Stoke Police had more jokes in reserve.
