Arsenal have confirmed their first signing of 2016, Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny.
The 23-year-old joins the Gunners from Swiss side Basel for a fee believed to be around £5m and could be available for selection as soon as this weekend.
Elneny competed for Egypt at the 2012 Olympics in London, helping him earn a move to Basel.
The central midfielder is known for a tireless work-rate and is seen as cover (and potential competition) for the injured Francis Coquelin.
