Rob Holding might be a future star. We just don’t know yet. That’s what the word ‘future’ signifies.
The former Bolton defender has joined Arsenal after featuring in England’s Toulon Tournament victory, but it’s probably a little early to get excited about a player with fewer than 40 professional appearances to his name.

With Manchester United seemingly drawing closer to signing Paul Pogba, Chelsea adding N’Golo Kante and Michy Batshuayi to their roster and Manchester City spending early on Ilkay Gundogan and Nolito, Arsenal fans are getting transfer window deja vu.
Granit Xhaka is the only new arrival who is likely to be a regular starter at the Emirates Stadium next season, with Rob Holding and Takuma Asano seen as future – rather than current – stars.
It’s a familiar feeling for the red half of North London, after Petr Cech was the only new face ushered through the doors this time last year.
However, rather than complain, plenty have decided to have a bit of fun following the addition of their new 20-year-old defender.

I've watched selected clips of new Arsenal youngster Rob Holding in a 140 second video on YouTube and he is better than Vidic & Ferdinand.

In their announcement of the deal, Arsenal insist they “remain in the market”. Though they haven’t specified whether that means they plan on continuing to buy, or whether they’re just in the market from a seller’s perspective.
