Arsenal fans ruing ‘November Curse’ as Hector Bellerin suffers injury blow

They're gutted...

Ben Kenyon

This isn’t the news Arsenal fans were hoping for.

Hector Bellerin has picked up an injury which looks set to put him out of action for the rest of the month at least.

The Spanish star has been in red hot form for the Gunners who are sitting just two points behind league leaders Liverpool.

But the 21-year-old was forced to withdraw from the Spain U21 squad earlier this week following an injury in training.

It looks like the young star picked up ankle ligament damage after taking a knock in training on Tuesday.

But now it appears Bellerin, who just put pen to paper on a £100,000 per week deal, could be out of action for a month.

Bellerin’s latest setback could see him miss the Gunners’ next games against Manchester United and a crucial fixture in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain.

The news comes as star man Alexis Sanchez picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty in Chile.

Arsenal fans didn’t take the news too well. Obviously it was all down to the ‘November Curse’ which always strikes the high-flying Gunners right about now…
