It could be an Under-6 game and Arsenal supporters still wouldn’t hold back.
The Gunners’ 2-0 victory over Spurs last week gave plenty of bragging rights to fans over the past seven days but it’s not just results from the senior side that are keenly boasted about by supporters.
Arsenal’s U18 side claimed a comprehensive 6-0 win over Spurs on Saturday morning and, as if a thumping of their north London rivals wasn’t enjoyable enough, Arsenal supporters are loving the Twitter activity (or lack thereof) of their suddenly not-so-noisy neighbours.
Spurs’ official Twitter account promised to provide team news and score updates for the game, which took place at London Colney.
The starting XI and substitutes were confirmed just seconds later but, once the game kicked off, there was radio silence for over two hours.

No HT score update.
No FT score update.
Nothing, nada, zip.
In fact, there was no more mention of the U18 game all afternoon and, knowing the scoreline, it’s easy to understand why.
Arsenal ran out 6-0 winners with braces from Bakayo Sako and Xavier Amaechi, as well as goals from Trae Cole and Matthew Smith.
What a performance, lads 🙌

And if Spurs’ social media team might’ve hoped that the result would just pass people by and nobody would remember the promise to livetweet, they’d be very wrong.
Because Arsenal fans, who have something of a reputation on social media, never need to be asked twice to troll their arch-rivals and they did so in exactly the way you would have expected.
There were no HT and FT updates. I wonder why… ? pic.twitter.com/2lvYXInDxm
