It doesn’t look like the best tackle we’ve ever seen.
Arsenal Ladies beat Sunderland Ladies 4-1 on Sunday, with Gunners veteran Kelly Smith coming off the bench to inspire her team to victory.
It was a brief cameo, however, as Smith’s nine minutes of action were brought to an abrupt end by a nasty looking tackle from behind which resulted in her being stretchered off.
Smith was obviously not too happy with the challenge and, when you see the picture, you’ll understand why.

The perpetrator, Abby Holmes, was given a straight red card. There’s no news yet of Smith’s injury, but it doesn’t look good.
