Their deal with Puma would come to an end at the close of the season
Arsenal are on the verge of securing a sponsorship deal worth £300m with Adidas, according to football.london.
Their current deal with Puma will come to an end at the close of this season, and rumours of Adidas replacing them as Arsenal’s kit sponsor look almost certain to become reality.
In June, Ian Wright said: “So pleased Adidas are back sponsoring after this coming season️. Especially after seeing what Puma have come up with.”
And reports from American sports business expert @HowieLongShort claim that the deal will pay Arsenal double what Puma are currently paying: £60m per season for five years.
It will be the third biggest kit sponsorship deal in world football, behind those of Barcelona and Manchester United, if all goes ahead.
Adidas have not made Arsenal kits since 1994. Fans who remember that pre-Arsène Wenger era are already getting excited to see the three iconic stripes on the red and white jersey once again.
Adidas will be Arsenal’s new shirt designers. Fantastic news.

Many will be hoping the brand bring out a remake of this iconic away shirt from the 1990s.
