Arsenal v Watford: Giroud starts for the Gunners

Carl Anka

There’s local pride and a trip to Wembley at stake in this afternoon’s FA Cup game between Arsenal and Watford.

Arsenal have named a strong line-up for their FA Cup quarter-final against Watford as they look to win the trophy for a third year running.  The Gunners would be only the second team to complete the feat, following Blackburn Rovers way back in the 19th century.

Olivier Giroud has returned to spearhead the attack, with starts for Calum Chambers and Kieran Gibbs in defence. Mohamed Elneny makes another start as anticipated in a strong team.
The Hornets are pretty much safe in the Premier League, and have therefore been afforded the luxury of naming a full-strength side as they look to secure a spot in the semi-final.

It’s shaping up to be a good old fashioned cup quarter-final.
