It’s late enough in the football calendar for people to start looking ahead to next season.
Already this week, we’ve seen a couple of speculative transfer rumours doing the rounds and, predictably, a few supposedly ‘leaked’ kit designs.
Hot on the heels of what is believed to be (but will probably turn out not to be) the next Manchester United home shirt, we’ve now been treated to the new home and away designs for Arsenal – a club whose supporters have more reason than most to crave a fresh start.

Much like the way in which the club’s current season has unfolded, the latest home offering is pretty much what we all expected.
Perhaps the main talking point is the addition of a collar, which can be seen clearly enough in this poor quality image that’s been circulating on Twitter.
As for the away shirt, it seems Puma have decided to knock the predominantly yellow strip on the head in favour of this gradient blue effort.
We’ll have to wait a few more weeks to see if Arsenal’s players wear either of these kits for 2017/18 – a season which may involve more significant changes at the club.
