Arsene Wenger drops his biggest hint so far that he could leave Arsenal

Pressure mounts.

It’s a tough time to be Arsene Wenger.

The Arsenal manager’s position has come under serious threat due to the club’s horrendous run of form.

After suffering Premier League losses to Watford and Chelsea, the Gunners are struggling to remain in the top four. Manchester United and Liverpool closing in and arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur ahead of them in the table, the fans are starting to get fed up.

The 5-1 hammering to Bayern Munich in the Champions League didn’t help matters at all.

With just four-and-a-half months left on that egg-timer known as Wenger’s contract, many Arsenal fans have been calling for the Frenchman to pack it in and leave the club. Well, it seems that these calls haven’t fallen on deaf ears as Wenger left the door open for departure during his press conference on Friday.

He vowed to remain in management next season. with or without Arsenal.

“No matter what happens, I will manage next season. Whether it is here or not, that is for sure.

“I hate defeat, I hate to lose games. I have a big responsibility at this club. It is difficult to take but I have the strength and experience.”

As expected though, Wenger insisted that the focus should remain on the club rather than his own future. To ensure this, he refused to announce his decision until next month at the earliest.

“If I said March/April, it is because I didn’t know. I do not want to comment. My future is not important, the team is and Arsenal Football Club.”

With Arsenal scheduled to play Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Spurs during that March and April period, it could be a real make-or-break two-month period for Wenger.
