Aubameyang claims Arsenal can be proud of their young stars
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has heaped praise on Arsenal academy graduates Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka after the pair both scored in the Gunners’ North London Derby win against Spurs.
Arsenal scored three times in the first 45 minutes and took a commanding lead into the half-time break, with Smite Rowe and Saka both finding the net alongside captain Aubameyang.
Despite conceding late after Spurs rallied well to score a consolation goal through Son Heung-min, Mikel Arteta’s men dominated the majority of the second period and ensured that they sealed a memorable victory.
Away from scoring, Smite Rowe and Saka played key roles in the victory, with the duo both registering an assist in the red and white men’s rampant victory.
Their impressive performances – in both the North London Derby and throughout the past six months – haven’t gone unnoticed, particularly by their captain.
🗣"Arsenal can be proud of these boys and I'm happy that my kids will maybe one day be like him!" 🤣

“Arsenal can be proud of these boys [Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka] because they are great guys who are doing well,” said Aubameyang.
“I’m happy that my kids will go to Hale End and maybe one day be like Smith Rowe.”
Smith Rowe joined Arsenal’s Hale End academy at the age of 10, whereas Saka joined when he was seven.
Now, the English pair are considered as important members of the Gunners first-team.
Saka has started five of the North London outfit’s six Premier League ties, with the 20-year-old scoring two goals in all competitions, grabbing an assist as well.
Likewise, Smith Rowe has started five of Arsenal’s league fixtures and scored two goals in all competitions, also registering an assist.
The Gunners will be keen to maintain their recent form which has seen them win their last three fixtures when they travel to Brighton on Saturday evening.
