Bafétimbi Gomis scares ball boy with celebration, apologises by giving him his shirt

The former Swansea striker currently plies his trade in Saudi Arabia

You’ll probably remember Bafétimbi Gomis from his time as a Swansea striker. You’ll also be able to recall his trademark goal celebration, where he’d crawl on all fours, pretending to be a panther.

Now 33, Gomis’ days as a Premier League striker are a distant memory, but the good news is he – and his goal celebration – are still very much going strong… as one poor, ball boy discovered.

Since leaving Swansea, Gomis has had spells with Marseille and Galatasaray but is now on the payroll with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal.

On Thursday, Gomis scored his fifth goal in four games for the club and followed it with his trademark celebration, prowling in the direction of a young ball boy.

Understandably, the child became a little scared of the Frenchman as he approached, eventually deciding to run away. Fortunately, all ended well. Gomis later apologised to the child by gifting him his shirt.
