The game in Seville is the latest to be shown on free-to-air television in the UK
Barcelona’s trip to Real Betis will be screened live in the UK, with ITV 4Â providing coverage of the LaLiga clash on Sunday evening.
It was recently announced that ITV would be showing games from the Spanish top flight for the remainder of the season. Starting with the game between Real Madrid and Levante at the end of February – the first ever LaLiga match to be screened on free-to-air television in the UK – ITV 4 are showing one live game from Spain per week, as well as a highlights show in midweek.
Table-topping Barcelona look well placed to retain their league title this season, and will start the game at the Estadio Benito VillamarÃn with at least a four-point lead over Atletico Madrid. Despite this, a win for Ernesto Valverde’s side is by no means a formality. Betis are the only club to beat them in the Camp Nou this season – recording a thrilling 4-3 victory back in November.
The game in Seville starts at 7:45pm GMT, with ITV 4 buildup starting 15 minutes prior to kick-off. Eleven Sports and Premier Sports will also be showing the game live. Eleven Sports remains the only place to watch all available LaLiga matches live in the UK and Ireland.
Barca prepared for the game by posting a convincing 5-1 win at home to Lyon in the Champions League on Wednesday. That win will now see them take on Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the competition next month following Friday’s draw. Should they win that tie, there’a good chance they may face Liverpool, who have been drawn against Porto, in the semi-finals.
