It was a miserable evening for Arsenal, who fell to a crushing defeat at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern were out of sight by half-time and ended up 5-1 winners, while victory for Olympiacos against Dinamo Zagreb leaves the Gunners needing to win their last two games to stand any chance of progress.
Here’s how their players got on:
Petr Cech – 7
Kept Arsenal in it in the first half with some sharp saves and did well to deny Robben in a late one-on-one
Mathieu Debuchy – 5
Lacked protection and never really stood a chance against Bayern’s interchanging wingers
Gabriel – 5
At fault for the opener when his efforts to play offside went wrong
Gabriel at fault again. Time for Wenger to bring Chambers on. Worst CB back performance I've seen at Arsenal.

Per Mertesacker – 5
Had no answer to the dynamic opposition
Nacho Monreal – 6
Looked good going forward and was unlucky that Mesut Özil converted his cross with an arm not a chest
Francis Coquelin – 5
Needs another more defensive-minded midfielder alongside him in games like this
Santi Cazorla – 4
Not good enough. Only seemed to start playing when Bayern had gone 4-0 up
Cazorla is awful

Alexis Sanchez – 5
Never really got into the game, as was the case with many of Arsenal’s players
Mesut Özil – 6
At least he tried
Joel Campbell – 5
Still understandably rusty, but the game passed him by for the most part

Olivier Giroud – 6
Took his goal well but was isolated for large parts of the game
Substitutes
Kieran Gibbs – 6
Tough to judge as the opposition had the game already won, but seemed to do just fine
Alex Iwobi
Not given enough time to make an impression
Calum Chambers
Had even less time than Iwobi
