There’s wishful thinking and then there’s this.
Bebe was hardly one of Manchester United’s shining lights in his brief time at Old Trafford, scoring just once for the club.
But the Portuguese forward has not given up hope of a return to the club after impressing during a loan spell with Spanish club Rayo Vallecano.
The 25-year-old, who has played more times for Rayo than for parent club Benfica, said “nothing is impossible” when asked about a potential return to Manchester.
“If I score 10 goals in the league I’m sure I can come back to a great team,” Bebe told Portuguese website Publico.
But he admitted he probably made the move to Old Trafford too early in his career.
“If I could go back…maybe I would have said no and spent a year or two years in Portugal to gain experience, and only then would I have gone to Manchester,” he added.
