Reports that Gareth Bale and Critiano Ronaldo aren’t getting along just won’t go away.

The latest comes from Spanish publication Cadena SER, who claim that Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez phoned Bale while he was away with Wales to clarify if the pair had a problem with each other.

Bale was criticised by the Spanish press recently following the comments made by his agent, which claimed that Bale would soon surpass Ronaldo as the best player of the year.

According to the Express, news of this unrest will alert Manchester United, who were keen to bring Bale to Old Trafford for the previous two seasons.

Rafa Benitez doesn’t appear too keen to lose Bale however, and it is thought the manager will seek to speak to both players when they return from international duty later this week.
