A Big Mac launched into space by a YouTuber landed at the training ground of League Two side Colchester United on Friday.
The YouTuber, named Tom Stanniland, launched the burger into the air from Sheffield using a weather balloon and a tracker in a bid to taste a burger which had been in space.
The box had been launched into space attached to a box with a GoPro on it, and it was reportedly this box which was first spotted by Colchester’s groundsman while doing his morning rounds.
When the groundsman picked it up, a phone on the box rang and it was Stanniland on the other line.
Speaking after it was found, he said: “We had a tracker in the polystyrene box and we lost connection with it when it got so high.
“It crash landed here but in the morning the groundskeeper found the box, turned it upside and we got a connection again.
“We found it and we’ve just followed it.”
Having arrived at the training ground hours later and eating the burger, Stanniland admitted that it wasn’t great having been in space and that it was actually drying out his mouth.
He didn’t really mind though, saying: “I’ve eaten a burger from space. There you are, that’s it. We’ve done it.”
