Billy Joe Saunders continues to bang the drum for a big-money unification bout with Gennady Golovkin but an agreement has yet to be reached.
It initially seemed like the fight was something of an inevitability, as Golovkin came straight out from his most recent victory and proclaimed that a clash with Saunders was his “dream fight.”

After claiming a unanimous decision over Daniel Jacobs in Madison Square Garden, in a victory that ended Golovkin’s 23-fight knockout streak, the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight champion set his sights on Saunders’ WBO title.
The Brit welcomed the attention, as he agreed to travel to Golovkin’s native Kazakhstan for the bout and attempted to entice GGG to sign on the dotted line by saying “Don’t fuck about with me no more, you little fucking minge!”
Saunders’ camp then came out and offered an ultimatum to Golovkin as promoter Frank Warren warned: “We’re either going to do it this week or we’re not going to do it.”

And in the latest bid to get a deal agreed, Saunders took to Twitter to show off a gift he had received from a fan.
The 27-year-old proudly sported the below t-shirt in the hope that the taunt would finally convince Golovkin to sign a deal.

Golovkin is not one to engage in trash talk so we wouldn’t expect an online back-and-forth to be ignited by the above picture but Saunders is definitely nothing if not persistent.
