The Champions League quarter-final between Borussia Dortmund and As Monaco has been postponed following an ‘explosion incident’ involving the Dortmund bus.

Sky Sports News are reporting that there were three explosions near the Dortmund team bus. They understand that some of the windows were smashed and shattered and one player was injured.

Borussia Dortmund confirmed that the match won’t go ahead today and will instead be played on Wednesday at 7:45pm Irish time. Tickets will remain valid.

Dortmund also confirmed that the player injured in the incident was Marc Bartra. The Spanish defender was taken to hospital following the incident.

It is understood that the injuries he sustained are superficial. It is believed that he received cuts to his hands and he should fine.

FC Barcelona tweeted out their support of Marc Bartra, the Borussia Dortmund team and their fans. Bartra spent 14 years at Barcelona, graduating from the Youth ranks to the senior team.  He made the move from Camp Nou to Dortmund in 2016.
