With many expecting a significant development on the future of Louis van Gaal, it has emerged that the Dutchman has not offered his resignation.
Reports on Monday implied that Van Gaal had informed Ed Woodward that he wished to resign after the loss to Southampton, only to be asked to reconsider his decision.
Now though, it appears this did not happen, according to BBC Sport who also claim that van Gaal has returned to the United training ground in preparation for Friday’s FA Cup tie at Derby.
Woodward – who many had claimed was in Manchester – is said to be seeing to club commitments in London.
For now at least, there is not word from the club on their manager’s future, although if this development is to be believed, he’s not going to be departing any time soon.
