He might have left Liverpool without a trophy to his name, but Brendan Rodgers’ stock hasn’t fallen too much.
The 42-year-old could be set to land on his feet, with his name among those expected to be on the shortlist for the England job if Roy Hodgson leaves his post after Euro 2016.
Hodgson’s fate will rest on England’s performance at the tournament, with the Daily Telegraph reporting that the FA are keen on a ‘homegrown’ replacement (basically, someone with lengthy experience of managing in England).
*thinks* Brendan Rodgers could do a brilliant job with that England squad. *hides*

This means Rodgers, as well as Everton boss Roberto Martinez, would be in the running alongside top English managers.
If he does end up taking charge, he would be reunited with his Liverpool signings Nathaniel Clyne, Adam Lallana and Danny Ings. If he picks them, that is.
