Higuaín will reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea after the pair enjoyed a prolific season together at Napoli in 2015-16 – the striker’s most prolific in his career.
In Maurizio Sarri’s pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup tie with Tottenham tomorrow, Sarri spoke about Higuaín, saying he hopes he can start scoring straight away as a Chelsea player.
Sarri says Higuain is a few hours away from signing his contract at Chelsea. He says he hopes the striker can start scoring straightaway, but he says there is plenty more to his game than goals. He hopes he can get him back to his best form. #CHETOT

Chelsea had their new striker board the first flight possible this morning, hoping that he would be able to sign his contract before the midday deadline, which would allow him to play against Tottenham tomorrow.
However, they missed the deadline and thus Higuaín’s first match in Chelsea blue is likely to be in the FA Cup fourth round at the weekend, when the west London club welcome Sheffield United to Stamford Bridge – on Sunday at 6pm. Yuck.
Higuaín’s arrival will allow Eden Hazard to return to his favoured left wing position, having played as a makeshift striker in the past few weeks, with both Álvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud both out of favour under Sarri.
Morata will also move on as part of the domino effect, joining Atlético Madrid on an 18-month loan which could become a permanent transfer if the Rojiblancos are willing to pay the €55m fee.
Chelsea fans will be hoping that Higuaín hits the ground running at Chelsea, just so they can sing his name like this, if anything.
