Much has been made during the Rugby World Cup about the influence of the TV officials, but none of them had to worry about facing Jose Mourinho.
Chelsea’s poor start to the season has continued with a disappointing first half against West Ham in which the defending champions fell behind to a Mauro Zarate goal before Nemanja Matic was sent off.
But it all could have been so different. Kurt Zouma came just about as close to scoring as you can but was denied by the new goal line technology which proved his shot had not crossed the line.

Gary Cahill has since equalised for Chelsea, but Zouma will be having nightmares about that decision for a long time to come.
