There’s always some drama when a Eubank meets a Benn.
Chris Eubank played a significant role in bringing British boxing to one of its most fascinating peaks, with his pair of contests with Nigel Benn turning that particular rivalry into one of the most memorable of all time.
Eubank famously claimed his first world title with a TKO victory over Benn in 1990 before the pair fought to a split draw just three years later.
As recently as February, Eubank suggested he was coming out of retirement for one last fight and fans were in little doubt about who they wanted to see the 51-year-old matched up with.
Now my son is champion of the world, It's inspired me 2 have 1 last fight for the excitement that comes with risk

The sons of both men are now giving incredible accounts of themselves in the professional ranks, with just one defeat between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.
Eubank Jr. most recently defended his IBO super-middleweight title in October and will take on George Groves next February for the WBA (Super) super-middleweight title, with a place in the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight final up for grabs, while Benn extended his undefeated professional record by claiming a points decision win over Cedrick Peynaud just last week.
Benn had to come through adversity to keep that squeaky clean zero on his record as he was dropped twice by the Frenchman in a dramatic first round at York Hall but rallied admirably and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
This sport is tougher than I thought. Bloody hell. Love to my supporters! See you next year! pic.twitter.com/9B5huTtDEp

And while Benn’s win was undeniably entertaining, Chris Eubank Sr. has chimed in with some advice for the youngster if he is to enjoy a lengthy career in the ring.
On Friday, Eubank Sr. claimed that Benn wasn’t utilising his father’s expertise enough and was putting himself in needless danger in the pursuit of thrilling contests.
Some time ago I advised you to keep your father close because he has knowledge that no trainer can possibly have& it will protect you in many profound ways because of his experiences.
Another 3 fights like your last and you will be a used fighter@ConorNigel#staynexttothegreats pic.twitter.com/bEs3IcP39V— Christopher Eubank (@ChrisEubank) December 22, 2017
While the message made sense from Eubank Sr., the public manner with which he delivered it was not well-received by the young fighter.
This ain't necessary mate. Why don't you DM me. Instead of talking rubbish in the public again like u did before when I had put you in you place. You wanna chat DM me.

And it’s safe to say that not many were on Eubank’s side of the exchange.
Leave the lad alone and ruin your own sons career moulding him like you. #Dickhead

This isn’t necessary

Couldn’t you just dm this to him instead of trying to belittle him on social media, that would’ve been the correct way to do it if u had his best interests at heart.

Chris, I’m a a fan, but wouldn’t it be more appropriate to let him know privately?
