The nature of Conor McGregor’s victory over Jose Aldo came as a surprise to many.
The Notorious took just 13 seconds to finish the job, knocking Aldo out cold with a solid left hand in UFC 194’s main event.
Having held the belt since 2010, the Brazilian will have been humiliated by the manner in which McGregor took it from him.
With the animosity between the pair before the fight, perhaps some would have expected McGregor to be far less gracious than he has been in the aftermath of his victory.
Taking to Twitter, John Kavanagh, McGregor’s coach, reminded those mocking Aldo about his defeat that now was the time to focus on the champion.
Today is a time for praising a new champion, not taking cheap shots at a legend and future hall of famer. Humility in victory or defeat.

A classy touch.
