The Jack Grealish saga appears to have finally come to an end, but that it doesn’t look like we’ll have to wait very long for the next Anglo-Irish struggle for a youngster’s loyalty.
Coventry-born Arsenal midfielder Dan Crowley has represented Ireland at U-17 level and there were reports in the Irish media that he was set to commit his future to Martin O’Neill’s men as recently as a few weeks ago.
Like Grealish, Crowley was born in England to Irish parents and he even played for Aston Villa before joining Arsenal in 2013.
But it appears as though Crowley – who is on loan at Barnsley –Â has had a change of heart after being called up to the English U-19 side.
Crowley is an exciting talent and will be known to Everton fans, who saw him score Barnsley’s third goal in the teams’ recent Captial One Cup meeting.
