The young winger impressed at Swansea this season, almost joining Leeds United in January before the move fell through. Now, he’s heading to Old Trafford, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer begins to rebuild a squad in desperate need of rejuvenation and improvement in pretty much every area.
James has just one year left on his contract with Swansea, and will join the Red Devils for £15m plus a possible £3m in add-ons.
The 21-year-old first drew the attention of Premier League fans in January, when he scored a stunning solo goal against Brentford in the FA Cup, leaving multiple defenders in a cloud of dust.
That sort of pace will come in handy on United’s right side, which has been a problem position for them over the past few years.
