David Beckham has his say about Man United’s big-money star Anthony Martial

After arriving in England on deadline day, Anthony Martial has made an impressive start to his Manchester United career.

The French youngster was relatively unheard of before United signed him from Monaco, but has settled into life at Old Trafford extremely quickly.

After soring the goal that sealed victory against Liverpool on his debut, Martial added a brace against Southampton in his second Premier League outing and another against Ipswich in the League Cup.

Now, one of the club’s former players has praised United’s latest acquisition, with David Beckham telling Sky Sports he’s enjoyed watching Martial’s start to life in Manchester, and hopes the goals continue to flow.

“It’s a great start for him. At 19 years old and the price-tag he came into Manchester United with, he’s living up to it at the minute,” Beckham remarked.

“I hope it continues, because I’m a Manchester United fan. I want to see him score more goals and be more successful. He’s the type of player that Manchester United is all about – one of the biggest clubs in the world,” he added.

Martial will be looking to score his fifth goal for the club as Sunderland visit Old Trafford on Saturday.
